Number of Kindergarten (TK) in the Asmat district in 2006/07 academic year is as many as 6 (six) schools, including two state schools. The ratio of students to study up to 25 disciples / students per classroom. Student to teacher ratio to reach 14 students to 1 (one) teacher.

There are 104 elementary schools that operate in the same academic year. Eighty of them are public elementary schools and the remaining 24 schools are private elementary schools. The ratio of the students to the existing teachers is 33:1. The ratio of the students to the existing classrooms is 18:1.

There are 8 junior high schools and 7 of them are public schools and the remaining is private school. The ratio of the students to the existing classrooms is 30:1 and the ratio of the students to the teachers is 15:1

There is only 1 (one) senior high school in Asmat district with the number of the students in the academic year 2008/2009 reaching 465 students. The ratio of the students to the existing classrooms is 52:1. It means that there are 52 students in each of the classrooms. The ratio of the students to the existing teachers is 29:1. It means that a teacher teaches 18 students.
